Q: What types of payment are accepted?
Currently, Melton International Tackle accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and PayPal. If you would like to pay by bank transfer or check, email info@meltontackle.com to request a printable order form. Orders paid by check will be held 5-7 business days to allow check to clear.

Q: Will I be charged sales tax on my order?
Melton International Tackle currently only charges sales tax on orders with a ship-to addresses in California.

Q: Does Melton International Tackle offer price matching?
Melton International Tackle makes every effort to offer anglers competitive pricing while stocking the largest range of big game fishing tackle in the industry. As such, we will make every effort to match and in many instances, beat competitor pricing if the following conditions exist:
  1. The competitor is an approved stocking dealer by the manufacturer and has the item(s) in stock for immediate shipment.
  2. The item is not listed on an online auction such as eBay.
  3. The items has to be an exact match (same exact model, color, etc.)

Q: How long will it take to ship my order?
Most orders will be processed and shipped within 72 business hours, Monday through Friday. In many instances, orders ship sooner.

Q: What shipping carriers and delivery methods does Melton International Tackle offer?
All orders are shipped via FedEx with the exception being, APO or military addresses which ship via USPS. For FedEx shipments, Melton International Tackle reserves the right to utilize any delivery method to meet our delivery commitment to you. Delivery methods are as follows:

Orders shipping to the United States
  • Priority Overnight Delivery: Your in-stock orders placed before 12:30pm Pacific Standard Time (Monday through Friday) will be delivered the next business day. Note that Saturday delivery is available to certain areas within the United States for an additional delivery fee. If interested in Saturday delivery, please contact Melton Tackle shipping department at (714) 978-9192 x266.
  • Express Delivery: Melton International Tackle will expedite your order so that all in-stock merchandise will be delivered 2-3 business days after departure from our facility.
  • Standard Delivery: Melton International Tackle will process your order so that all in-stock merchandise will be delivered 3-6 business days after departure from our facility.
Orders outside the United States
Please note that Melton International Tackle is not responsible for delays due to customs inspection.
  • International Priority Delivery: Our preferred method of shipping outside the United States. Typically speaking, the best value when considering transit time and shipping cost. Packages arrive at the destination country's sorting facility within 1-3 business days after leaving our facility.
  • International Economy Delivery: Once shipped from our facility, orders delivered via International Economy will typical arrive at the destination country's sorting facility within 3-6 business days after leaving our facility.
Q: How do you purchase and/or redeem Melton International Tackle Gift Cards?
Melton International Tackle Gift Cards can be purchased HERE. Gift cards can be purchased up to $2000 USD online and in any amount for orders placed over the phone. Gift cards can be redeemed on retail, phone and online orders. Gift cards redeemed online must be accompanied with credit card information should the amount required be greater than the remaining balance on the gift card. Q: What if I find a online price that is lower/higher than that of which is advertised in your print catalog?
Prices and availability of products and services are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected where discovered, and Melton International Tackle reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions including after an order has been submitted and whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged.

Q: What if damages are incurred while using products sold by Melton Tackle?
Not having control over the use of the products in this catalog, we assume no liability connected with their use. Under no circumstances are we liable for any loss, damage, or expenses of any kind arising out of the use or inability to use these products.

Q: What is a backorder and what are Melton Tackle's backorder policies?
Backorders occur when we are out of stock of certain item(s) that a customer may order. Melton Tackle only backorders items for domestic shipments. Backorder deliveries incur no additional shipping charges to the customer. Orders delivered outside the United States will have in-stock items shipped and out of stock items cancelled. Melton Tackle only accepts domestic backorders when the total value of the merchandise exceeds $15.00. Melton Tackle only allows one backorder shipment per order placed.

Q: Are international taxes and duties included in the price of my order?
The price of your order does not contain taxes and duties owed on your order. All recipients of international shipments from Melton Tackle are responsible for any local import duties that may be charged. As with any international shipment, your local customs office may detain the merchandise and delay its arrival while accessing appropriate duty charges. Taxes differ in each country so unfortunately we cannot tell you the exact tax rate in your country.

Q: How are Returns/Exchanges handled?
If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, please contact our customer service dept within 21 days of receipt for a return authorization. Returns/Exchanges without authorization WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Returns/Exchanges after 21 days of original receipt WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. All Returns/Exchanges MUST be in original packaging and in unused/re-sellable condition. Some items (such as electronics, recording devices, gyro binoclulars) are subject to a restocking fee and/or not eligible for return due to the nature of the item.
