The new BXL-600, 600W light line reels were developed for the Sailfish and SKA anglers on the east coast. They predominantly use hundreds of yards of monofilament on these reels which results in different degrees of mono compaction causing the spools to distort and drags to spike. These reels have a new spool design that has the drag washer centered around the arbor and not out towards the edge of the spool. We have also reinforced the walls to minimize any deflection of the spool. Everything else is the same on the reel except the spool. These reels will get a maximum of 15 lbs of drag but have a very big drag range for light line settings. They were specifically designed for these light line tournament applications.
