No matter how much load is put on the Dredge Master, it performs beautifully and extremely smooth. And, because the main shaft is solid aluminum, there is absolutely no bend underweight or pressure from what you are pulling so that the dredge baits swim smoothly and are not jerky as they are with a fiberglass rod.
The roller is machined to handle 400 lb. mono and it revolves on two stainless steel ball bearings. The swivel tip rotates on a large Stainless bearing and there is a Stainless Thrust Bearing at the end of the assembly that is rated for 1,920 lbs. All of this is concealed inside the Dredge Rod.
The Dredge Master measures 30 ¾” to the end of the roller, with 28 machined parts. The Dredge Master 400 may also be ordered with either an 80 or 130 lb. class Black anodized curved butt.
